In a surprising partnership that challenges usual expectations, the game developer has revealed an in-game crossover between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the popular anime series Attack on Titan. The unexpected holiday event continues from November 25 through December 22, offering free extra story content for Shadows players.
Peculiar Questline Disclosed
According to the formal statement, "An unusual encounter draws protagonists Naoe and Yasuke into a original adventure, where rumors of prohibited ceremonies and terrifying changes echo through the darkness." The plot presents a "unusually garbed woman named Ada" who charges the pair with venturing into the Crystal Cave—a significant location from Attack on Titan—to liberate her companion from a secret group.
The mission focuses on "bizarre trials and a fearsome enemy" and is accessible to all players who have gained access to the Yasuke character.
Familiar Places and Metamorphoses
The preview highlights the Underground Chapel from Attack on Titan redesigned as the Crystal Cave. This significant location was earlier where the Reiss royal family handed down the Founding Titan ability through generations. The preview ends with a dramatic moment showing a character, probably the prisoner, morphing into a Titan that towers over Naoe and Yasuke.

Players who finish the adventure will obtain an special katana in addition to numerous objects concealed throughout the area in secret chests. The update also includes premium Attack on Titan item packs, including:
